The Neon Sign On West 4th Is Back
Big news: Fedora is back. The beloved West Village staple, which shuttered in 2020, is reopening—this time from the team behind neighboring wine bar/café St. Jardim, Dete and Christa Alexander. They’re joined by Basile Al Mileik (ex–The Four Horsemen), a heavyweight in the NYC wine world, so you know the list will be something special. The new Fedora promises to be refreshingly anti-trend: just great, classic dishes done right. We’re especially intrigued by the snug little nook tucked under the stairs—rumored to be the spot to sip while you wait. They’re saving plenty of seats for walk-ins to keep that old neighborhood charm, but… it is the West Village, so plan accordingly. We’ll see you in line.

The Most Off-Brand Thing We’ve Ever Written
Stick with us. Until approximately yesterday, we had no idea Walmart (yes, that Walmart) had a membership program called Walmart+. It’s been around for five years, but hadn’t really hit our radar—until now. Lately, their “everyday low prices” slogan is hitting a little different, and we’re suddenly rethinking that $139/year Amazon Prime subscription. Walmart+ clocks in at $98/year and includes free shipping, same-day grocery delivery, free pharmacy delivery, and a handful of other perks. Bonus: Walmart has committed to sourcing more products that are made, grown, or assembled in the U.S.—which, for obvious reasons, is a huge perk right now. Consider this your casual heads-up in case, like us, you’ve been sleeping on it.
